One platform from the meter reading to the filed report

ESGTrack collects each figure where it is measured, calculates what follows from it, takes it through review with its evidence, and carries it into BRSR, BRSR Core and the other frameworks you report — so the number you file is the number that was approved.

Collect each figure the way it is measured

Plant teams record what they actually read: meter readings become consumption, fuel logs reconcile against stock checks and lab calorific values, bills are matched to sites, water is entered as a balance and waste by its BRSR category. A grid of sites and months shows what is still missing, and an area that does not apply at a site is marked so, with a reason.

  • Type, or paste a block from Excel — sites down, months across
  • CSV and Excel import, with columns mapped and checked before anything is saved
  • The offline field app, opened from a link or a printed QR card, in English or Hindi
  • Utility bills by upload, forwarded e-mail or a mailbox, read and matched to sites
  • Zoho Books, Tally and SAP S/4HANA connectors and HR imports, staged for review
  • Validation rules for every typed, imported, connected and API figure

Why it matters: the figure is captured once, at the source, with its evidence — instead of being re-keyed from spreadsheets at reporting time.

Calculations you can recompute

ESGTrack builds your GHG inventory to the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-1 from approved activity data. Each entry is multiplied by the factor in force for its month — your own site or company factor first, then a bundled library of 10,380 factors from CEA, the US EPA, the IPCC and other public sources — and the factor, its source and its date stay attached to the result.

  • Scope 2 both ways: location-based and market-based, with renewable certificates and green tariffs
  • Scope 3 from spend, sorted into the 15 categories, and from travel, commuting, freight and supplier figures
  • BRSR Core KPIs calculated from approved data, with PPP-adjusted revenue and output definitions
  • Unusual figures pointed out while you type, and anomaly checks on every monthly series

Why it matters: anyone reviewing a total can see how it was worked out, and a corrected factor or entry flows through to every figure that uses it.

Review and approval, with names on every step

Approval workflows follow your organisation: roles by pillar, named approvers, as many steps as you need. Nobody approves a figure they entered, every approval can carry an electronic signature, and a large change from last year needs an explanation before the report can be approved.

  • Multi-step approvals with electronic signatures
  • Bulk approval with one signature — every rule still applied to each item
  • An owner and a due date for every part of the report, with reminders before deadlines
  • Notifications by e-mail, in ESGTrack, and in Slack or Microsoft Teams

Why it matters: accountability is visible before anything reaches a report — who entered a figure, who reviewed it and who signed it off.

Evidence and an audit trail that hold up

Evidence is attached to the figure it supports and fingerprinted with SHA-256, so a changed file is noticed. Any KPI can be traced back to the entries behind it, their evidence and their approvals, and every change, sign-in and approval is written to an activity log in which each entry carries the fingerprint of the one before — a log you can verify.

  • One evidence register across sites, periods and frameworks
  • Trace from a disclosed KPI to entries, evidence and approvals
  • 26 standard internal controls over ESG reporting, 15 of them tested by ESGTrack every day
  • A deletion can be undone for ten minutes; nothing typed is lost to an expired page

Why it matters: an assurer, an auditor or your board can follow a number back to its source without a separate evidence hunt.

Reports assembled from approved figures

BRSR Sections A, B and C across all nine principles, and the BRSR Core KPIs, are filled from approved data; each year starts from what was filed the year before. A filing check goes through every question with a link to fix each issue, final submission records the approvals up to the board and freezes a fingerprinted filing pack, and the XBRL file for NSE and BSE is validated before you download it.

  • The BRSR report as PDF, Word and a readable web page; XBRL on SEBI's 2026-02-28 taxonomy
  • Value-chain partners chosen by SEBI's 2% rule and asked for their figures
  • Registers for the reporting boundary and for restated figures; comparisons with last year
  • CSRD/ESRS, ISSB, a GRI content index and CDP figures from the same data
  • 30 report design families and a report builder with charts from your data

Why it matters: what you file is what was reviewed — no copying numbers from a reviewed workbook into a separate report template.

An assurance workspace inside ESGTrack

Assurance providers get a role limited to the periods of their engagement. They raise queries and document requests in the same thread as the data, test samples and record findings, then write and sign their statement in ESGTrack — on representations management also signs there. Assured figures are locked; reopening one for a restatement needs a recorded reason.

  • A readiness view: an evidence heatmap across the BRSR Core KPIs
  • A public page where anyone can check a signed statement
  • Digital signatures on PDFs checked against India's CCA roots
  • A close calendar from year end to the AGM, with the legal deadlines

Why it matters: assurance happens where the data lives — fewer e-mailed workbooks, and every query and answer stays with the figure it is about.

Plan the next decade on this year's figures

The decarbonisation planner starts from your inventory: add initiatives from 15 lever templates or projects suggested from your own emission sources, and see the pathway, the cost per tonne, payback and a marginal abatement cost curve. Climate risk is assessed site by site, and benchmarks compare your sites with each other and with peers' BRSR XBRL filings.

  • Targets and actions followed from your data, not a separate tracker
  • Water stress from CGWB's groundwater assessment, physical hazards and carbon-price scenarios
  • A risk register, an ESG maturity assessment and a one-page investor fact sheet

Why it matters: plans, risks and comparisons use the same approved figures as your disclosures, so they never drift apart.

Everyone knows what to do next

On signing in, each person is told what they do in ESGTrack, and page tours walk them through the screens they use. My Tasks gathers what each person has to enter, approve, answer or learn, with due dates. Training for every role adds 11 modules and 36 lessons, each with a real task to try and a knowledge check.

  • ESGTrack in English, Hindi, Spanish, French and Arabic, with a full right-to-left layout
  • Quick search with Ctrl+K, and plain explanations beside 29 technical terms
  • Links for field staff, suppliers and respondents — nothing to sign up for
  • Consultants see every client in one portfolio, with access each client grants and can end

Why it matters: data collection keeps moving when people change roles, and nobody needs a manual to enter a meter reading.

Fits the systems you already run

ESGTrack connects to accounting and HR systems, sends notifications where your team works, and signs people in with your identity provider. Connected data is staged for review — it is never approved automatically.

Questions about the platform

Does ESGTrack replace our spreadsheets entirely?

For the figures you report, yes: each is entered (or imported, read from a bill, or sent from the field app) once, approved, and carried into every report from there. Many teams keep spreadsheets for their own analysis — ESGTrack exports every figure with its evidence whenever you need it.

Can we start with BRSR and add other frameworks later?

Yes. The same approved figures feed BRSR and BRSR Core, CSRD/ESRS, ISSB, GRI and CDP, so adding a framework later adds its own questions rather than a second data collection.

Do we have to use the AI features?

No. AI is off until an administrator switches it on, then works with the provider you choose, with personal data removed before anything is sent and a monthly budget. Everything described on this page works without it.

How do people outside the company take part?

Field staff, suppliers and survey respondents use a link — nothing to sign up for. Assurers and consultants get their own roles, limited to what they were given.
